KMP Aspire FC closed their group stage campaign in style with a commanding 2–0 victory over Mumbai Knights in the Maharashtra State Youth League for Junior Girls.
Aspire made an electric start to the contest, taking the lead in just the 3rd minute through Tanishka Kawade. Showing great awareness and technique, she connected beautifully with a half-volley using the outside of her boot, leaving the goalkeeper with no chance. The early breakthrough allowed Aspire to control proceedings, combining disciplined defensive shape with sharp transitions in attack.
The second half saw Mumbai Knights push forward, but Aspire remained composed and organised. Their pressure paid off when a dangerous delivery into the box forced a Mumbai Knights defender into an own goal, doubling Aspire’s advantage and effectively sealing the result.
The clean sheet performance capped off a superb group stage for KMP Aspire FC, who finished top of the table with 19 points from 7 matches – displaying consistency, teamwork, and maturity throughout the tournament.
