The Aspire FC Story

Started With a Conversation.
Built Into a Club.

Aspire FC didn’t begin with a business plan. It began with a conversation between four friends who looked at the landscape of girls’ football in Pune and decided to do something about it.

What started as a grassroots coaching session at one school became a registered competitive club, a national-qualifying team, and the football home for hundreds of young women across the city. We didn’t have all the answers when we started — but we had conviction, coaches who cared, and players who ran harder than anyone expected.

Aspire India also operates as a sports and events management company — bringing the same attention to detail and creative energy to corporate events, fundraisers, and sports programming. But the football club — that’s the heart of it.

What We Stand For

Girls First, Always

Everything we built was built for them. Aspire FC exists because we believe every girl deserves a pitch, a coach, and a chance to compete.

Compete to Grow

We don't just train — we compete. From PDFA to IWL to State League, real matches build real players. Trophies matter, but the journey matters more.

Built on Community

Parents who take us places. Coaches who are our strongest pillars. Well-wishers who cheer from the stands. Aspire FC is not a club — it's a community.

A Pathway, Not a Pit Stop

From Juniors to Seniors to national selection — we're building a ladder, not a one-off team. Every player who joins Aspire FC joins a long-term vision.

Our journey

From Kickoff to Today

2016

A Dream Takes Shape

Four friends sat down with a shared conviction — that girls in Pune deserved better football. Aspire India was born not from a boardroom, but from a belief.

2017

First Boots on the Ground

We ran our first Grassroots Day at GIIS Chinchwad and formed the school's girls football team from scratch. Coaches Nikhil Nair, Shawn Arland, Anupam Alhat, Sharon Kakade, and Ranjeet Joshi gave everything — and the girls gave even more.

2017

Going National with RFYS

A partnership with Reliance Foundation Youth Sports put us on the national map. Starting with the Pune leg, we expanded to multiple cities, giving hundreds of young players a platform they had never had before.

2019

Aspire FC is Officially Born

We registered Aspire FC with the PDFA — a formal competitive club, built specifically to give school girls exposure to real, competitive football. Not just training. Not just futsal. Real matches, real stakes, real growth.

2021–22

Rising Through the Ranks

After COVID stole a season from us, we came back hungrier. We topped our group and qualified for the WIFA IWL Qualifiers — a moment that proved this team was built for more than just local football.

2022–23

Runner-Up on Debut

In just our debut season in the PDFA League final phase, we finished as Runners-Up. Meanwhile in the IWL campaign, we ended 5th in a nine-team tournament — every game a classroom, every match a step forward.

2023–24

Pushing Closer

We returned to the IWL Qualifiers and narrowly missed out, finishing 3rd. Narrow margins. High standards. The gap between us and the top was closing fast.

2024

Aspire FC Juniors Launch

We didn't just build a first team — we built a future. The launch of Aspire FC Juniors created a full player pathway, ensuring the next generation had somewhere to grow, compete, and belong.

2024–25

Double Delight

Our Junior team topped their group in the State League and finished Runner-Up in the final phase. Our Seniors finished Runner-Up in both the State League and PDFA League. Both squads earned qualification for the State League 2025–26. One club. Two teams. One direction.

2025–26

The Story Continues

New season. Fresh challenges. The same fire. Four national futsal call-ups. A coaching staff that never stops learning. Parents who drive hours for a game. And a squad that wears the badge with everything they have.

The Parents

They wake up early, drive long distances, stand in the rain, and cheer every touch. The wall behind this club has always been the families who believed before anyone else did.

The Coaches

Our strongest pillars. Every session, every tactical tweak, every word of encouragement — our coaching group gives this club its identity and its standards.

The Well-Wishers

To every partner, sponsor, and supporter who believed in women’s football in Pune before it was easy to — thank you. This club exists because of you too.

The 2025–26 season is here.

New season. Fresh challenges. The same fire. Come be part of it.
